    Great replacement I've had my shaver for about two and a half years, and lately the cleaning base that came with it just hasn't been getting the job done. Now I wish I had bought this replacement a long time ago, because the shaver head came out clean as a whistle after the first use. Anywho, I love this razor and it's nice that I can still get parts for the system even if they are a bit on the expensive side.5Costco Braun 7893s If you bought your model at Costco Braun 7893S this will work perfectly with it. They are on sale right now for $99. This drop in charger and cleaner is well worth the money. I couldn't be happier. 5Base I received isn't the same as the pictured base I ordered!!! The base I received is not the base that is pictured and advertised since it has only ONE control button which activates the base's regular cleaning function AND NOT THE SECOND BUTTON FOR ACTIVATING NHI THE BASE'S QUICK CLEANING FUNCTION. (Btw, I was charged the same cost for it as the two button product.) However, since it works with the Braun 7000 series shavers available from Costco I'm keeping it despite the fact it doesn't have the quick cleaning button shown in the displayed photo of the base I ordered. 4Works great with my Costco Series 7 No cord but the one from the Series 7 plugs right in. This does a good job of keeping the shaver charged, lubricated, and ready to go. 5A needed cleaning system for all Series 7 shavers.It seems to clean just fine. I don't know how to select the different cleaning degrees though.I have a Braun 720-S that didn't come with this cleaning system. I thought I could just rinse out the head after every shave. That worked for about 3 months then the 18 month head quit cutting. I bought a replacement head. I also dismantled the old head and found that rinsing was only cleaning out the middle third of the head. The outer two thirds were jammed solid with tiny bits of hair cemented together with natural facial oil. So, it wasn't the head that was bad, but the cleaning method.So, don't buy a 720-S because you really need this cleaning system to keep the head clean. Oh, there might be other ways to clean it too, but that's too much bother for me. This is simple, easy, and quick. It also isn't that expensive, when you consider the option of buying a new head every 3 months.5Really cleans the shaver head. I purchased my Braun Series 7 about 15 months ago. Although I kept it clean with running water and soap, it was starting to underperform. I bought this based on recommendations I have seen online. It works really well and my Braun is working like new. 5Braun Cleaner works OK, packaging lacking, no user guide.This seems to work well. It is a little difficult to tell since there is no user guide information. Packaging did not provide much protection. This may have been a returned product.3It is a nice unit. No instructions in the package, none found in the Braun website. Yes, it is easy to use, but in this day and age a simple one-page user guidance would be welcome.4Cleaned the shaver cartridge to like new I've had a Braun shaver that I bought at Costco a year or so ago. It did not offer this cleaning solution so I was not aware of it until recently. It sounded like a sound idea so I sent for this. It arrived with just the cleaning unit and no directions or solution. I did some research and found that the charging cord for the shaver is also used for the cleaning unit. There were some tutorials online that explained how to use this setup. I got a box of the cleaning solution cartridges through Amazon and cleaned the shaver. It did a very nice job and I will continue to use it. I think it will extend the life of the shaver which seems to be a lot sturdier than the brands I previously used. I would definitely recommend this item. 5Great - but lasts only a few years this is the third charger/cleaner I have ordered and used. It works great. You do need to clean the charger/cleaner as it has many years worth of stubble. I shave my head also and generally use the clean and renew every shave, or most of the time.No matter how much I clean the charger they do only last a few years. It gives you the warning that you are out of cleaner. Clean it out and it works for a few days.Have used the canned air and removed all of the hairs. Disappointed it only last a few years but substantially cheaper than the 4 times pricier braun shaver.Small price to pay since the braun shaver, 799, is better than the other electric shavers I have tried.Shipper got it here quickly. Will buy again in another few years 4Terrible product I now have my second failed Braun Pulsonic Clean Charge Base Unit. The first one worked for the first few weeks that I owned the Braun Series 7 760cc-4 Electric Foil Shaver. After the first one quit working, I ordered the second base unit to the tune of $55. The second one never worked. So I don't know if the problem is in the shaver itself, in the cord or the Base Unit. Warning: The base unit does not come with a new electrical cord. So the problem may be in the cord. Or in the Shaver, which shaves my whiskers very well. The Shaver is now charged only to 40 percent. So it may just be a matter of time until it quits too. The biggest problem is none of these items are returnable. So I'd recommend you stick to your lather and razor. Or grow a beard. 1Works perfect for 7893s This works perfect with the Braun 7893s razor. Bought the razor from Costco and didn t come with clean and renew base. When I searched the Internet it said it wouldn t work. It does 5Works great I have been trying to clean my Braun by just pouring the cleaning fluid into the top of the cleaner/charger unit ever since it quit working last year. What a hassle! Then I saw this on Amazon and with the price reduction it truly was a no brainer. Factory unit, works great and now have a happy shaver! 5
