    Great Shavette! Finally, a shavette I can use without any problems whatsoever. Of course, through constant usage, I will get better and better at using this product. I've seen this shavette online before and was curious about how it would shave. Finally got a gift card and figured what the hell, I'll try it. Really surprised by this shavette...has the head of a Safety Razor so it made using a straight razor style shaver less daunting. Also it provided a surprisingly close shave with no nicks...it's a very forgiving mild shaver. I was concerned it would be too light weight being all plastic but the weight does just fine. Great little shavette, that I'm happy to own now. I also like just dropping in a DE blade without having to snap it in half.Pros: Easy to use, great for a beginner or expert, easy to clean, solid design that functions great, even though it's plastic it's put together well and I feel it will last me a while.Cons: The price, seems a bit over priced but still affordable compared to other shavettes. 5The price is far too high. In Europe, they retail for less than 4 Euros including the 24% VAT. It's basically a semi-disposable razor, like the Wilkinson Sword Classic, Gillette Super-Click and several other plastic 2-piece razors. It's worth maybe $5.00 as a novelty but certainly not the asking price of a Merkur, Edwin Jagger, or Parker. 1A pleasant shaving experience. I've used a DE razor for several years, and I decided to take the plunge with a shavette with this Daune as my first. I figured it being plastic (for a lower cost to own) and it also having the double edge like I was already used to would be a good jumping off point. I have not been disappointed. It shaves very close, and it has been a joy to learn on.If I was to have any sort of complaint about it, its all plastic construction makes it very lightweight - something a little bit heavier might be even easier to use.The durability of the screw where the blade goes will have to be determined over time - a metal cap screwing onto a plastic screw makes me a bit nervous about easily stripping the plastic screw but, but no issues thus far. I will update with any future news if I have any.Overall I would recommend this to any DE shaver who would like to take the plunge into a straight razor type of shave. 4Three Stars Wish that this was not cheap plastic feeling. 3
