Old vs New. First pic with package and flosser, old style. Second pic new style.I like the new style of flosser. As the old one was a different type of plastic than the new one. When using the pick end, it would chip off or break. Resulting in having a blunt end, being useless! The new style doesn't break or chip off, like the old one! It also is a bit thinner for a bit longer. Which enables one to get further between your teeth. More like a tooth pick! I think the new one has less failure on the floss coming out of the crimp of the arms of the flosser. Unlike the old one, they would fail a lot more than the new style. I read someone thought they were possibly going away due to the package deal of 6 bags of 90. But they had them with the old style as well! I like the new style. I will buy them over and over!5On the moneyOk, pls ignore everything after the asterisks (*'s)...there was a misdirected link that had me reviewing a different item. So....floss picks!These are minty and more durable than some I've tried, but the distance between the arms holding the floss is a tiny bit shorter than is entirely comfortable for my back teeth. For this reason, I have a preference for the OralB Complete picks. They're essentially the same, just as durable, and don't dig into my gums when I do molars. That said, some others, like Equate, broke or the floss came loose, so these still function well and it is possible to use extreme care and avoid any major issues. Just be aware that the very small difference in spacing can be a problem. You definitely get your money's worth with Gum-Eez as long as the size thing isn't an issue.**********. I'll fix this thing with dryer balls later...Good price, item as described/promised, shipped quickly...it was just a good execution.As far as the felted woolen dryer balls themselves: they will not solve all your problems, especially if you aren't smart/diligent about it. For instance, (1) to get scented/softened clothes (when you're allergic to commercial sheets/softeners), you'll need to buy or make an alternative mixture of oils or vinegar or other stuff from a DIY recipe to either wash with or douse these dryer balls with.(2) Throw in plenty of wool balls...no need to scrimp...use at least 3, since this product comes with 6 anyway. You can probably wear them out eventually, but the shorter drying times effected by more agitators (dryer balls) should compensate for that from a cost perspective. A dryer uses quite a bit of 240-Volt power, so shortening your dry cycle is a worthwhile endeavor...and that's as simple as using enough felted balls. This also generally has a positive effect on resultant "softening" that the physical agitation of the dryer-balls cause.(3) If you tumble dry natural-fiber clothes (cotton, linen, rayon, etc.) with synthetic-fiber clothes (polyester, spandex, etc.), you will produce copious amounts of static...period. Nothing can be done about this, wool balls or not, commercial products or granola-inspired home-DIY stuff or not - it's material science, and thus not influenced by your wholesome desire to go non-GMO, or all-organic. The different materials rub together like balloons and human hair to produce static - thus, you must separate your loads accordingly for drying. Alternatively, you can treat for static after drying or just live with your trouser legs and/or billowy skirts stuck to your legs like a hotel shower curtain...Maybe washing together makes sense for you...drying unlike fabrics together will never yield good results though. I wish I were an expert beyond those couple of things, but I'm not. On the upside, if you observe those three simple rules, you'll have 99% of this whole dryer-ball exercise well in hand.3Doesn't break. Easy to us One and only dental flossers that do not break easily. They are strong and great to use. The minty taste to start with is very pleasant. Do not waste your money on other product that are flimsy and break easily. These flossers are very easy to use even in tight spaces and they do not get stuck between teeth. 5Never open in front of family!!!!Well I opened the package with all 6 packages in great condition and half the family said I use something similar to those but mine aren't mint flavored well I have two left as 4 of them went out the door with family and I believe there will be 4 more ordering as well as my self I find them quite pleasant to use and have them in the medicine cabinet my office and my lazy boy chair so therefore I use them all the time and find them easier to use then a long piece of dental floss. I will be ordering again sooner than I thought.5If it weren't for these, I would never floss. Of all of the flossers, these work the best. I ordered three packs: one for my car, one for my husband's car, and one for at home. If it weren't for these little guys, we would probably never floss. They work well and my dental hygienist has noticed a difference. Also, I've tried the kind with the flat floss, and those did not work as well as these. 5I won't be without themI use these at least 3x's a day, after each meal. They remove all of the stuck food easily and my dentist has told me to keep doing what I'm doing because my teeth and gums look great.5Best on the market!When I bought this six-pack it was/ is because I think that GUM may be discontinuing these flossers! NO!! Please don't stop making these!! Why did I think they were/ are stopping manufacturing these? Either the stores around me have lost their contracts with GUM, or they're no longer being sold, because I haven't seen them in ANY of the stores for months. I have tried every flosser on the market and these are the best! So, I decided to stock up on them just in case GUM decided to make a huge mistake and stop making them! It was also a nice little bonus to find that the carrying cases in each pack! Thank you GUM!!5Could do without "Neotame..."I've been using these for years and in my experience they are the best product out there as far as quality (they don't shred or break). What is disappointing is the fact that they seemed to have changed there product with the addition of Neotame and they now taste as though you just put a 1/2 cup of sugar in your mouth... No where on the description either on Amazon or the packaging does it mention any flavoring additive! I called the manufacture and after quite some time I found out that they are flavored with "Neotame" which is chemically similar to Aspartame. Why? It's a tooth flossing item, not candy!!! I'm not an alarmist but if given the choice, I'd like to opt out of consuming chemicals I don't need. And there is no reason I can think of for needing to add Neotame to teeth flossers...Neotame is an artificial sweetener made by NutraSweet that is between 7,000 and 13,000 times sweeter than sucrose (table sugar).[1] In the European Union, it is known by the E number E961.[2] It is moderately heat-stable, extremely potent, rapidly metabolized, completely eliminated, and does not appear to accumulate in the body.[3]2Strong and Durable, Floss won't breakOnly type of flossers we buy, the rest are flimsy and the floss breaks. My "thrifty" husband will get quite a few uses out of one flosser (basically until I throw it away), because they are super durable!5Good product, but the old design was better.I love these. I try to remember to pack them when I travel, or carry a couple when going out to eat at a friends or a restaurant, and several when attending a bar-b-q so I can share, which never seems to go unappreciated. The mint flavor is great out of the gate, but can't go the distance. The main reason I withheld the fifth star was that these newly redesigned use a weaker floss component. I ave habitually started with the right bottom molars, not sure why, but I have the back molar there has a jagged edge on the side that butts up against the next tooth, It is not decayed and search me as to how it got that feature (& hose two teeth are the tightest against each other of all my teeth) but these new flossers frequently break on that edge when pulling it out from between those teeth. Obviously, I had to remember not to start there, but to finish there, though habits die hard. I hated traditional floss and so never flossed, but several years ago I asked my dentist if it was really that importand to floss my teeth, and in a dead-pan, nonchalant, manner, he quipped, "Nah, only the ones you like and want to keep." I have been flossing ever since. I have tried a few other brands but i like these the best.4These little babies are terrific! They are small enough to get to all ...Because of surgery on my dominant hand, I needed a way to floss my teeth one-handed. These little babies are terrific! They are small enough to get to all dental junctions comfortably and don't snag or easily fray, and can be reused after rinsing. They also have a functional toothpick on the handle end. Very happy with this product, especially under the physical circumstances.5Not bad for floss picks but nowhere near Oral B Glide Floss pick qualityThese aren't too bad as far as discount floss picks go but they are not fun to use. The string doesn't slide between teeth that easily but the sturdy handle frame keeps its shape enough that you can wiggle it in. Use these with care because the friction can easily yank a crown or tooth out if you're not careful. They don't measure up to the Oral B Glide Floss picks but will get the job done with careful use.2
