    The quality and value are fine, but...The quality and value are fine, but this is a difficult color to apply, keep on & carry off a look with anyway! It goes on light, is smooth and several layers are needed to achieve a green that can be seen from more than a foot away. The quality is excellent....it's just a tough color. I know I can get a really heavy coverage green around Halloween, but the quality is just not there and they end up looking cartoonish. I would give this 3.5 out of 5 stars if I could. I'll admit I'm a little disappointed in the colour as the one I ordered was far more grey and definitely arrived with heavily purple undertones, however I can admit it's reminiscent of a dark concrete otherwise. It applied like a dream and if this quality is to be believed, it would remain on for a good amount of time before needing to be reapplied (I tried it on but haven't taken it on a full day spin just yet)3Great colorMy go-to brand didn't have green so I went with this. I did not like that the price went down after I RECENTLY bought it for a dollar more! :(4Use lip liner and power for long wear.I had the midnight blue lipstick before but I lost some time back, and miss it so much. Let tell you, they changed the formula on these, it not as long lasting as it once was, but that okey. If you use a lip liner to stop it from bleeding and give it a base and use any power to make it last longer, you'll be fine. I still adore this lipstick though, and I know I not wearing it every day, so I don't mind the extra steps. Pitch Black is not like the other "Loaded Bolds" from Maybelline's Color Sensation line. I have Grey Over It and Blackest Berry, and they are great! Pitch Black is not at all "pitch" black. It's not opaque, and it's not really buildable. I guess I can say that it isn't super patchy, but who wants greyish vaseline as a look, even if it's uniform? It doesn't even smell like the other lippies in this line. It smells waxy and cheap.I'm giving it two stars because it DOES work as a lipstick topper to goth out a dark purple lipstick. If I layer it over Blackest Berry it's almost black. It's really hard to find drugstore-brand black lipstick, and even harder to find workable drugstore-brand black lipstick. As I was watching Season 7 of Mad Men I could not help but notice this very shade of lipstick being worn along with corals. Maybe that is why I was drawn to this shade. It is very moisturizing with decent staying power. The shine and color help to brighten my complexion. Would also be incredibly sexy with a tan. This formula rivals those found at high end department stores. For the price I cannot be disappointed. Give this a try if you are on the hunt for an orange lipstick that is tastefully done. I am anxious to try other shades in the Vivids line now. I just ordered the Shocking Coral and plan to purchase more.UPDATE**** 3/31/2015 ---- I just received the Shocking Coral today. It is more pink than coral. An intense flat bright pink. I think the color is pretty but not on me. This shade does not have the shine or creaminess that the orange one did. Go figure.3Gorgeous color!I'm in love with this shade! I was a little nervous after my first application, since it appeared to be quite sheer. Shortly thereafter, the color was more vibrant and shiny; it's so pretty! It applies quite smoothly and seems to be a good moisturizer, as I did not experience any cracks or chapping on my lips after the application. It also works really well as a topper! It didn't dry my lips out when I used it over a deep shade of purple matte lipstick; plus, the metallic shine really made the purple pop! Despite the fact I wish it were longer lasting, I will definitely be purchasing additional colors in the future!5Beautiful color, but wears off within minutesBeautiful color,but wears off within minutes.
