    It came along with the Rebel Red which I obviously would like. But I'm picky when it comes to nudesWhen I received this color I honestly wasn't quite sure of the color. It came along with the Rebel Red which I obviously would like. But I'm picky when it comes to nudes. I'm a fair skin lady and most nudes just make me look sick and extra pale. My natural lip has plenty of color so a nude needs to be able to work with and overcompensate for my natural lip. I wore it out one weekend running errands and received a few compliments from ladies I was talking to. I honestly forgot it was on my lips until someone asked what the lovely color was that I was wearing. Even my husband made a comment about my lip color when I got home later that afternoon. So the color was a win! It's a liquid matte but it's super creamy and honestly left my lips feeling soft after an entire day of wearing it. It's probably the one that I've worn the most and have layered with the Katy Kat Matte for a custom look. **I tested Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid for free, but all opinions are my own**5Very comfortable, but not as long wearing as other liquid lipsticks3.5 starsThis is one of the more comfortable liquid lipsticks I've tried. I'd say it feels similar to the Ofra liquid lipsticks or Nyx Liquid Suede liquid lipsticks. Like those two, this does transfer a little. I did a kiss test on the back of my hand after a couple hours and there was a faint transfer.Like a lot of darker liquid lipsticks, this color, Smokey Rose, applied a little streaky (I prefer Nyx or Ofra because of that), but I was able to make it work. The color looks pinker on my lips than in the tube, still pretty, but I was hoping for something a little more vampy for Fall. It did wear off fairly evenly, but it didn't hold up as well as I would have liked through eating. As you can see, after eight hours, it was basically gone. I know this doesn't claim to be long wearing, but I tend to expect that from liquid lipsticks.All and all, for the price, this is a very comfortable formula. I'd be interested in trying the lighter shades to see if they apply more evenly, otherwise I refer the Nyx Liquid Suede.3Gorgeous sophisticated well made product with one important exceptionI love everything about this product --- the amazing creamy formula, the gorgeous stain, the incredibly vivid and bright Berry Boost color that pops and looks so pretty against my warm olive skintone, and I even love the surprisingly elegant scent. So why am I sending it back? Because it made my lips feel numb :O( And I can see, from reading the reviews, that I'm not the only one who experienced that. Very sad because aside from that, this product is a real winner and feels very high end. It was nice because you could control if you wanted the lipstick to be matte by only swiping just a touch of color (and it was VERY vibrant, so you could tell the pigments were great), or if you wanted it to look more like traditional lipstick, you could swipe on two coats.The lipstick itself came in a really cute little container and I really like the applicator brush because it made it really easy to apply. The lipstick also smelled great! If you have kids, or if you love kissing--this lipstick is not for you! It smears like CRAZY! This lipstick came off on everything! My waterbottle, my husband, and even my poor baby. I don't like for my lipstick to rub off just for the slightest of things, so even though I liked the colors and the texture, I will keep looking for a longer-lasting matte lipstick.Disclaimer: I got the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid for free, but my opinions are my own.3NOT a matte liquid lipstick! I do like it, but I only give it 3 stars because it is more a gloss than anything else. It does not have anything matte about it whatsoever, and because of the glossy texture, it needs to be reapplied after lots of drinking or anytime you eat. Don't you dare hug anyone with a light colored shirt on either!Don't let that stop you from buying it- it is a gorgeous red berry color. But look up some youtube reviews and see what you are really buying. If you're looking for a liquid (matte) lipstick, keep looking. 3Posessed Plum #50 - The perfect plum color lip stainGreat as a long lasting semi-sheer plum lip stain. The applicator isn t good ignore it and use a lip brush it ll make a world of difference (it should have been a brush, not a wand). Otherwise just put 3 dots on your lower lip and smooth it on with your finger. Do the same for the upper lip. It s got a gel-like consistency.You can also use it as a sheer base for another color to deepen that color. Works great!In a pinch, it makes a gorgeous matching blush just put a dot on the back of your hand, rub it with your finger to spread it into a thin layer and then apply.I bought several to set aside so I don t run out of it. It s a great color and at this point, my go-to. I keep one in my bag with a lip brush, concealer and an eyeliner.It s also excellent to blend with another color.Blend it with #36 Rebel Red from the same Maybelline line and it makes a gorgeous, film noir, deep, plum-based crimson red.It s worth noting that some people mention a fragrance in some shades, but I didn t smell it in this or in Rebel Red. Others mentioned that they had a tingling sensation using lip glosses in this line, possibly from a reaction to something in the formula. I didn t have that either although my skin is rather sensitive.5NOT matte, NOT long wear, this is lip gloss not liquid lipstickI cannot figure out how this is marketed as a lipstick - it's a translucent gel gloss. I have other lines of Maybelline matte liquid lipsticks that are super-long wearing and I adore them - but this ain't It.It doesn't set, it doesn't settle - it stays glossy and sticky and is definitely more of a thick lip gloss instead of a liquid lipstick. The color is also much more of a pinky-purple than a black cherry.2Beautiful Colours and packaging, but some have a better formula than othersI was super excited at the prospect of a drug-store priced matte lipstick and I tried these out the second I got my hands on them. From what I've seen online most people are complaining that it doesn't dry when you apply it or it's shiny and doesn't have a matte finish. My experience with the product is that the more you put on, the less matte it'll be. From what I understand, Maybelline did this deliberately to make the Vivid Matte liquid versatile. One coat will give you a matte finish while two gives it a hydrated, shiny look.They have an almost moussey texture and are moisturizing on their own, so don't layer a balm or chapstick underneath them. I'm a fan of the formulas on the ones I tested, but I've seen that some of the more unconventional colours have patchy formulas and the result is just not that great. There are some clear winners in here though, especially 'Nude Flush.' It's a great, everyday wear colour that will work for just about any situation, outfit or neutral makeup look - even a light smokey eye. I'm a sucker for red and I love both reds in this collection - Rebel Red and Orange ShotThe colours are super summery and super vivid like the name claims. A few of these are definitely worth the price, but be wary of the purple ones because they're the most patchy.I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.3THIS IS A MUST TRYYYI recently received two different shades of this product: 10 Nude Flush and 35 Ruby Road. Also, please note that I am of darker BROWN skin color.The packaging of the lip colors were perfect! The size of the container accurately depicted how much lip color you were actually getting.Now let me walk you through color by color:10 Nude Flush --I wore this out on a casual day. It seemed to be a fairly complimentary color when I looked at its packaging. I was wrong. Matched with my skin tone, this color looked more like I had chapped lips than matte color. The color blended in and almost exactly resembled my natural lip color. I applied 1 coat, originally, then another after I noticed the lack of color change. I did not receive any particular comments throughout the day. The quality of the matte effect itself I would have to say was top class. On lighter skin, I believe this would look wonderful.35 Ruby Road --This color I wore on a night out. I applied a generous coat and then dabbed my lips on a piece of toilet paper to intensify the matte effect. I LOVE this color! It popped so perfectly and was not too bright of a red. It is also not a lip stain and was easy to remove in the case of a slight mistake when applying. This color lasted a good 4-5 hours before I reapplied, granted I was eating and drinking during those hours.Overall, I believe that t he matte effect was spot on for both colors. The Ruby Road looked best on me, however, on my fair skinned mother it was very flattering.DISCLAIMER: I received these products free of charge through the site Influenster.com, however, my opinions are 100% my own.4Not For Sensitive Skin, HoweverGorgeous color if not applied full power! Neon at full power on my skin tone!application:it has the texture of that clay you smudge into the wall to cover holes before painting, except slightly less clayeyingredient list:nonexistent other than the very itchy, large pimple size spots that appeared on or around my lips when applied. Shade representation on Amazon needs to be fixed.This range is called vivid matte but it dries more shiny than matte and does not last as long as the Matte Ink range from Maybelline that I love. It last 4 hours on my lips but disappears if I eat or drink.I am really unhappy with Amazon's color swatches - this color "Orchid Shock" seemed like a shocking purple pink but it ended up being a muted dusty pink. The color I should have gone for was Fuschia Ecstasy, as it seems closer to what I wanted but it looks almost red in their picture. I wish they would show the right colors, as I keep buying the wrong shades.Overall, I did not like this range too much. I prefer NYX Professional Lip Lingerie or Matte liquids over this brand as they have more lasting power and dry more matte but not too drying.3
