Customer Reviews

Fantastic Coverage!I'm Asian with a fairly light complexion so from other Asian's recommendation on here, I purchased Warm 2. I suffer from mild skin inflammation where sections of my face turns red. I got tired of wearing a concealer then using a powder afterwards so I thought I'd give this product a try and I'm very glad I did.It provides remarkable coverage on its own. The photos speak for themselves. I have not doctored these pictures in any way, other than cut and put them in a collage. Top pictures are of before and bottom, after.I would recommend that you get a lighter (or darker) shade to give it some contoured look.Highly recommended.5Amazing! Retiring my FentyA friend recommended this powder to me after I noticed her skin looking so great that I suggested she d had some work done on the sly. I ***LOVE*** this product. I ve used designer mineral powders in the past but they always made my skin look chalky and flaky. On top of that, I m half Filipino, and finding shade matches has always proved difficult. When Rihanna debuted Fenty I was super excited because Sephora was able to match it exactly to my tone, and provided a milky, even coverage that masked dark marks and redness. But over the course of a day, foundation oxidizes and by late afternoon, it looks redder than it did 10 hours earlier. This mineral powder provides coverage similar to Fenty and builds so smoothly that chalkiness is not a problem. It also doesn t wear off after all day use nor does my skin get shiny as the day goes on. As long as their formula doesn t change, I ll be using this for a long, long time.5Perfect in all lighting, covers dark circles and redness! This photo is after I applied, indoor light on the left, natural outdoor light on the right. I struggled a bit choosing a color, but Warm 2 is perfect. It covers my dark circles and ruddy cheeks. As most of the reviews suggest, I definitely recommend using a moisturizer before using this product. I m pretty oily but when I first started I applying, it looked a bit dry. I used a small brush around my eyes, nose, and on blemishes. Then an ELF kabuki brush everywhere else. This product has great coverage, natural, but didn t leave me looking greasy or even orange like bare minerals sometimes did! The price is phenomenal as well. Five out of five stars. Hope this review helps:))5Pressed Powder needs its own ApplicatorI bought this for more foundational coverage - returned this as it was too light for my skin - not due to quality of product. I only use Mineral Fusion products but this was too light for me.For the bronzers and blushes I use my brush - but I think a pressed powder needs to have its own applicator in the form of a face pad - not necessarily the sponges. When I re-buy the proper color, I will probably run to a pharmacy or target for an applicator. But I think a lovely applicator should be built into the pressed powders. One 50-ish year old woman's view ;-) I only used a good face cream on my skin plus a good bronzer/ or powder for light coverage.Less is more for me.4Good powder foundation, a bit too dark for me.I've been wanting to try out this powder foundation for a while, so I finally purchased it here on Amazon as it was cheaper and I didn't know how I would feel about it. I have sensitive, combination, acne-prone skin - so I'm kind of particular about what I put on my face, ha. I also don't like wearing liquid foundation or heavy makeup, so I've been trying different powders. Anyway, I bought this in the shade Olive 1. I'm pretty fair-skinned, but I have a difficult sort of undertone. I used to tan very easily and deeply when I was younger, but now I try to stay out of the sun to prevent getting skin cancer, thus I'm pasty white. haha. Anyway, because of my struggles with foundation matching and this slightly green tinge to my skin, it has lead me to believe I have an olive undertone. However, sadly, I still have not found a perfect match. Sigh. I guess that's just the way it is for some of us.This shade is just slightly too dark for me, unfortunately. I would say half a shade to one shade too dark for my complexion. I might be able to work it during the Summer, but definitely not going into Winter. I have to say that was pretty disappointing as even though I bought it cheaper here, it's still an expensive powder foundation. And I really do think that it is a nice powder that offers decent light to medium coverage. As with all powders (or foundation in general) you have to be careful not to apply too much as it can become a little cakey. So I always go by the adage "less is more". I have attached a photo so you can see what the powder looks like on a bit of acne and acne scarring that I have. I'm not wearing concealer and the photo is unedited and unfiltered. It doesn't completely cover my scarring, but it does a good job at evening out my skin tone and masking the redness. I also don't think it made my acne spots look any worse than they already do, ha. It doesn't seem to emphasize dryness, but I do make sure to moisturize beforehand. It also didn't make me break out or irritate my skin. But everyone's skin is different, so what's okay for me might not be okay for you. Just make sure to check the ingredients. There's no added fragrance in this powder, HOWEVER, it does have a scent. I assume it's the smell of the ingredients. It's very mild and I personally find it pleasant. I can't smell it when it's on my face, only in the compact. But I thought I would mention it anyway. The other thing I want to mention is that when you put your brush in the compact it does have quite a bit of powdery kick-up, so be careful. The photos are of me, in natural light by a window, wearing the foundation. I don't think you can really tell that it's a bit too dark, though, either because of the camera or lighting or both. The other photo is a comparison between the Mineral Fusion foundation in Olive 1 (left) and (on the right) The All Natural Face Pressed Powder foundation in Olive Warm (their second lightest olive shade, which is closer to my actual skin tone, but can look a bit pasty because of the titanium dioxide and zinc oxide).Hope this was helpful to someone!4Give it timeHappy to find an Olive tint. It is very fair, I will order the next shade darker next time. It leaves a chalky appearance at first, but don't worry, once it settles it has a lovely finish and blush and bronzer goes on seamlessly. I will apply a light moisturizer first, the next time that I put it on. Coverage builds nicely, I have hyperpigmentation and it does a nice job of covering without looking cakey.5I picked cool 1 vs warm 1I bought this product for two reasons:1) the rating on E.W.G.& 2) the price due to needing to adjust my budget.I normally buy 100% pure products because they last a while, work well, are gentle on my skin and the environment. However, the price (while worth it and understandable for what you are getting) is high.I can say that I think I ordered the wrong color due to the picture (dont go by the picture). I picked cool 1 vs warm 1. However since it was still very light I still matched enough to not be noticeable when applied. Because of this, I will continue to use it until its gone and then get my correct shade. The coverage is good while giving you a natural look. I definitely will experiment with other products from this company as their prices and rating all seem good.5Accurate color, clean, light coverageVery pleased with this product. I would normally never buy make up I couldn't try the color of first but I was out and only buy "clean" makeup. Description was accurate for olive skin. It matches my skin exactly. I would say that it lightly evens skin tone. Don't expect it to have a heavy cover up. I prefer that type of makeup. I have it applied over a lotion base with nothing else. I choose to lightly roll a buki brush on the compact to apply because it will last much longer. Costs significantly less than in my local coop.5Pro's and Con's (from Ex- Film/TV Makeup Artist)If you want a good quality 'real' mineral powder foundation, try this one. Many foundations can be orange-y but this one is not. I love the olive shades! I recommend using a good quality foundation brush rather than a sponge. Make sure to use a good moisturizer or serum before hand so that it doesn't settle into fine lines and don't apply too much. Also... finish with a rosewater (or comparable) face spray to set it and add more hydration.Works great as a highlighter and contour, buy a shade darker and a shade lighter. They last forever also! A little goes a long way but you can also build them up if needed.PROS- Good coverage, healthy on your skin, double as highlighter/contour, covers all day, one compact can easily last 6 months.CONS- If you have dry skin and don't moisturize, it might settle into your fine lines if you apply it heavy.5Excellent quality foundationI have been using this foundation for several years. Depending on the season, I use Neutral 1 or Neutral 2. It is easy to apply (I use a mineral powder brush from Japonesque) and it lasts a long time. I prefer pressed powder over loose powder because it is easier to control the amount used and it is not as messy. The best features are the flattering shade, the buildable coverage while still feeling light on the skin, and the staying power. I put this on in the morning and it wears well throughout the day without the need to touch it up. It also doesn't irritate my sensitive, acne-prone skin, and has just enough yellow pigment to hide any redness or blemishes like magic. I won't go back to using heavier liquid-based foundation. Excellent product!5Seems to be good for sensitive skin, matches fair skin well I have fair skin (blonde, blue eyes, with blue veins, but also with middle-aged rosacea) and the cool 1 is a perfect match for my winter complexion. I'll probably need a different one for summer. I am also a huge fan of mineral fusion, and have been slowly switching all of my cosmetics and hair products to this great, natural line. I've tried most of the common all natural brands, and a lot of them irritate my super sensitive skin (yes, all natural ingredients can be super irritating). I've also found that some of the all natural foundations and beauty balms can be a bit too orange-y for my complexion, leaving clear lines of demarcation no matter how much I try to blend. This is smooth and lightweight, buildable, and truly matches my skin tone. I haven't used it for very long yet, but so far it doesn't make my face break out or cause itching and scaling. Covers my rosacea and lightens a large spot of sun damage on my cheek. Makes my skin look even and glowing, but not shiny. So far, I love it. 5Great product, great price, great company! If you are looking for a great priced mineral foundation, look no further! This product is great! I really like the story behind this company and felt good about ordering this product.I wasn't sure what color to get but saw they sell this at Sprouts and Whole Foods so I headed over to Sprouts to pick out a color. The Neutral 2 is the shade I ended up going with and it blends perfectly into my skin, it's not to gold and not too red.The price is definitely better on Amazon so if you can wait for it to ship, I would recommend doing that.5My Perfect Match!I've been wearing mineral powders as foundation for maybe ten years now. I have pretty good skin so I just need something to help even everything out and help my concealer blend with the rest of my face. The only thing I don't like about mineral powders is that the loose powders can be messy (it's totally okay for my lungs, right??), so I figured it was time to look for a pressed powder. And hey, maybe I could also find one that actually matches my skin tone. Why not just shoot for the moon? Here's the thing about my skin tone: I'm white, with greenish/yellowish undertones (probably the influence of my Spanish ancestors, who knows). Most makeup is too orange or too pink for me. Most of the time, I just settle for a close enough match. No more! When I saw the "Olive 1" shade of this powder, I had an inkling that it might be the right shade. I'm always cautious about ordering cosmetics online but I trusted my gut on this one. It did not steer me wrong! Not only is it the shade perfect for me, the quality is fantastic. It's a much creamer powder than others, and doesn't settle in fine lines like most. After twelve years of wearing mineral powders, I've finally found the perfect one for me.5
