    Great brushThis brush is really nice. I never heard of Pear wood but it s beautiful. It s comfortable to hold. Unlike most brushes that have a single row of bristles on top for scrubbing nails this brush has several rows that curve inward and scrub nails really well. The other side has bristles that are more gentle but really effective so you can scrub your whole hand. As you scrub a nice lather builds up. I never heard of pig bristles before I guess they re like boar bristles but domestic. Anyway it s a great brush 5Nothing like the brushes we had growing upMolded quickly. Nothing like the brushes we had growing up. The bristles aren t as stiff and if it really was beech wood it wouldn t have molded if left in a dry area as mine were. Will not buy again. 1Great product, but wood is fracturingWonderful product. But, needs to be treated with beeswax or some water resistant coating to prevent cracking.After 3 uses the wood began to fracture and now after 5-7 uses it's spreading into the bristles.I really love how effective this tool is to clean the soles of the feet and palms of the hands of dirt from gardening.But, the product isn't holding up well to moisture.After contacting the merchant, a free replacement was offered and gladly accepted. I hope that by applying oil or beeswax the cracking will be slowed down or prevented.I am pleased with the merchants responsiveness, the products effectiveness, but would like to see the product revised to be more accommodating and adaptable to moisture interaction.Blessings to all,Om 4Excellent, elegant nail brushBeen looking for decades & this nail brush exceeds even my aesthetic needs. Simply a great brush.Due to a neurological condition I garden barefoot without gloves so my hands & feet get mighty dirty. & since I have difficulties with gripping implements my standards sound progessively more strident. But this brush is da bomb.Nice elegant shape, design, & materialsEasy to hold, functional rounded ridges to gripFirm brushes: multidirectional for under nails on 1 side, wide rows on reverseI bought 2 because the brush looked like what I wanted & I'm totally pleased. I'm so tired of making due with inferior unseemly brushes with flimsey bristles constructed of who knows what. Finally a lovely item that works beautifully. 5Split on arrival, junkArrived today with a small split already in the handle. Then entire craftsmanship and quality is terrible. The side is unevenly scored as if the tool used stuttered across the wood. There are frayed wood fragments and splinters on the edges. It feels like a piece of light scrap wood. What a piece of junk. Returning. 1Well Worth the Price!I reviewed a ton of fingernail brushes and finally decided on the Burstenhaus Redecker Pearsood Nail Brushes. The short angled bristles are perfect for under the nails, work for either hand, are stiff enough to get under the nail clean, but not too stiff to cause pain. The straight longer bristles are perfect for cleaning the tops of fingers around the cuticles and knuckles, without hurting the skin. The bristles do not come out and I have seen any cracking or mildewing of the wood handles. I had tried the smaller (shorter) brushes by other makers and they were too small. These brushes fit in the hand well and are long enough to easily clean four fingers and the thumb all at once. I use the brush, rinse well and let air dry after each use. These nail brushes are well worth the price and I expect I will have them for years. 5Treated ones crack too!!!Really annoyed with this brush. I read the reviews showing cracked brushes and figured it was because they weren t oiled. I bought the thermawood because it was already treated and oiled. The thing still cracked after only three days of use. I think the problem is that they are putting bristles on both sides of the wood, leaving a very thin area of solid wood. Since it is so thin, it cracks easily. If they would put bristles on one side only, it would likely solve the problem. It is now useless with the cracks on both ends because the bristles fall out through the cracks. So disappointing! 1Both brushes cracked after first useI wanted to love these brushes, but the wood on both cracked after the first gentle use, despite drying them immediately 1Not so 'Great nail brush' after allI have had this nail brush now for a little over a month so I'm updating my previous review of "Very nice nail brush. It is a bit larger than expected but works very well. Recommend." In this short time, with little use, I have now noticed that the wood of my brush is splitting on both ends so I think this, as was the case with the brush it replaced, will be short lived. So, for this reason, I have changed my review to two stars. I do like that the bristles are a bit stiff as that helps clean up after gardening, for instance. But, I would not buy this product again. 2Finally. The nail brush of our dreams!Handsome, sturdy and supremely functional. This is the nail brush I've been looking for. The soft bristle side is perfect for a quick cleanup, while the stiffer, angled bristles do away with under-nail grime from gardening. We purchased two - one for the kitchen and another for the bathroom shower. We plan on getting two more - one for the bathroom sink and another for the garden bench outside. We've already had enquiries about where we got these great-looking nail brushes, so looks like we'll be getting a bunch to put in stockings this Christmas! 5
