Wow!!!Let us give credit where credit is due. This set of brushes is great! The handles are made out of bamboo, and have a good sturdy weight. The brush bristles are firm, but soft, they work as expected and then better. I received the package two days after ordering with prime, and i was pleased. Very pleased. These brush set is very well made, they are beautiful and perform well. I love the wrapping, dont know what else to say, but wow!,, before deciding on this set, I visited the major make up store, .......hora, to check out the brushes and found them overpriced for the quality. I'm so happy with this purchase, specially the price. One tiny thing, theres a smell to the fabric wrapping, not a deal breaker. The bruhes are well wrapped and packaged, I plan to look into more Shany cosmetic products. I like what i see. I definetely recommend this brush set, and i would buy again 100%. 5Silky Soft and Wonderful to Use, but the pouch didn"t lastI love these brushes. They are even softer than my full size set that I paid dearly for. I purchased these to take with me as a travel set. Winter wind and brutal cold left my skin sensitive but these brushes are so soft that it was a joy to use them. Sadly the pouch ripped after just one week. I was careful with it, placing it in my hand piece on the plane, so I can't blame luggage handling. As a result I docked pne star from an otherwise perfect product. If you are thinking of buying these, don't hesitate, you will be glad that you did. 4Product doesn't look clean...I was really excited to get these brushes after seeing so many great reviews. I was very disappointed once I opened the box because both the case and one of the brushes aren't clean. Another one of the brushes is also missing a plastic covering. I will be returning the product. 1The brushes are of good quality, but I did not receive what was ...The brushes are of good quality, but I did not receive what was in the picture. When I placed the order with Amazon, there were 4 small brushes in a plastic case and the other brushes were in a canvas case. The 4 small brushes were clearly smaller and I thought they would be ideal for traveling. I received the items today and everything is in in the canvas case, and all full size brushes. Not what I wanted and not worth paying to send it back. 2Very soft - after you washAt first, I only liked the flat buffer brush (bronzer brush? I forget the name). Why? Because I didn't realize you needed to wash the brushes before using. I've never encountered that problem before. But when I re-read the description, there's a tiny sentence about washing the brushes before using. Please, please, please! Put that on the packaging! Once I washed them and allowed them to dry, the other brushes became softer and more flexible, more comfortable to use. And they do feel very good for quality. I'm still addicted to my perfect flat top brush in this set, but I'm getting used to the other ones as well. Overall, this was a very cute set for the price. Very nice, quality case, too! Easy to toss in your bag for travel. I might check out some of their other brushes in the future. ^_^ 4great, durable case and good travel-size soft brushesReally great brushes and travel case, I can throw this in my purse or bag without worrying about the brush heads getting damaged. I have only two small concerns, first that the case will be difficult to wash if the makeup gets on the interior, and second that the plastic wrappers for each individual brush are unnecessary because they already come packaged in the durable case and a bigger plastic sleeve. It would be nice to have all compostable packaging. Put these are personal preferences, the actual brushes are perfect and they are above and beyond any set I could have found at Sephora for this quality and half the price. 5Great brushes, smelly case.I like this brush set, seems perfect for travel. Nice softness, good handles. Cleans up nicely. No need for any other brushes except maybe a fan brush. The pleather case stinks to high heaven and I have tried everything to get the chemical smell out to no avail. The brushes were inside the case but I was able to get the smell out of those in a few days. I like that this is vegan, but the case is out of here! 4ONLY brand of brushes I'll ever own!I purchased the black handled set. This is my second set of Shany brand brushes, not this exact set. This is the only brand of brushes I'll ever own. My face is so sensitive; that I can't use ANY type of sythentic bristle brush, which makes purchasing makeup brushes difficult. My first set I purchased (the red handled set of theirs, not sure if they still sell that kit), lasted me well over 5 years when taken care of. With ANY natural brush (you should do this anyway with sythentic brushes too), you must wash them before use and weekly depending on your application usage. They didn't take forever to dry, and I love the quality of this brand. 5LIFE CHANGING!! (Oh wait, they're just brushes... In that case, they're completely normal & nothing traumatic happened!)Not sure what the fuss is about... The brushes are actually really nice quality. The size makes them perfect for travel or everyday use. Don't be freaked out by the word "synthetic" -- we all know what those cheap-quality "bristles" feel like (the ones that practically leave claw marks across your blushes and eyeshadows then feel about as smooth as a mustache as you rake them across your skin). These are NOT those. Instead, these are soft (but not too soft) and smooth "hairs" -- not bristles. I'll update my review if I learn otherwise but these brushes give every indication that for a mere mortal/normal makeup user they'll last a long, long time (i.e. there's no need to worry about mileage as if you're a professional makeup artist...). Here's the low down: A) the brushes don't smell, B) I would have NEVER had cause to sniff the case if I hadn't read the other reviews claiming its scent was horrifying but...if I had to describe it, it smells exactly like anything else you would order online that's new (think new shoes, for example). C) As for "airing out" the case to get rid of the smell, I'd actually recommend putting the case inside a ziplock bag filled with 2 cups of dry, uncooked rice for 4-6 hours before...I'M KIDDING. By the time I finished taking pictures for you guys, the case smelled exactly like a pair of new shoes that had sat out of the box for EXACTLY as long as the case had sat out of its box while I photographed it. D) Regarding the quality/durability of the case: do I think it'll be around for me to clutch lovingly as I lie on my deathbed? NO. But if that's your expectation, you've probably sniffed a few too many newly-unwrapped products... 5Good brushes!It's my first makeup brush set, so I may not be the expert to review this product. My order was only based on the reviews. My first impression - they look cute, does not feel cheap, comfortable to handle, and the bristles are very soft, does not feel harsh on skin.I have used only the concealer and powder brush till now and seem to be working so far.They also come with a good quality pounch, very compatible to carry them on travel. 4
