    Saw a tremendous improvement in hair look and feel after a couple of weeks of useBought this for my son, who is swimming 4x a week and his hair started showing alot of damage. This shampoo does a really good job of removing the chlorine smell and it is turning around his hair so it does not look and feel like straw. Prior to all of the pool time he had smooth and shiny hair, what you woild expect on a 14 year old. After using this the first time i noticed a major improvement and after two weeks his hair was significantly better.4Smells fantastic!!Love this!!! This definitely softens hair after a swim. My daughter has curly frizzy hair so you can imagine what it's like after being in a pool full of chemicals. I use these to help her hair not looked fried and frizzy. It does a really good job it definitely make the hair smoother. I haven't seen a huge difference with taking out the green tint but I'm hoping it may work over time. Another plus is that it has a good smell! I would recommend!5Works as part of a systemI have shoulder length, naturally blond hair and I am usually in the pool 3-4 days a week. I have always used Paul Mitchell's Shampoo Three which is designed to get chlorine out. That product always worked well for me but as a clarifying shampoo it can be very harsh/drying on my hair. I got the Ultra Swim to use everyday after swimming and now I only use the Paul Mitchell once a week along with a deep conditioning mask. This combo works well for me. The Ultra Swim doesn't get all the chlorine but leaves my hair fairly moisturized during the week and on Sundays the Paul Mitchell shampoo gets the rest of the buildup, and the deep conditioner really replenishes.If you're a swimmer I can also recommend It's A 10 Miracle Leave In Product, 4-Ounces. I use this everyday and it's extremely effective at preventing damage. I spritz and brush it through wet hair before I get in the pool, and then again after I shower. The most important thing you can do to help your hair is shower before you get in. Your hair will soak up the clean water and have less room for chlorine.4Great Shampoo. Pointless Conditioner.I'm giving 5 stars for the shampoo and 1 star for the conditioner so I'm averaging it out to 3 stars.I haven't been an avid swimmer since I was a kid. Growing up with light colored hair, I knew all too well what the pool water does to my hair. I remember using a swimmer shampoo back when I was a kid but as I grew older and throughout most of my adulthood, I didn't really get into a pool and swim around. I mostly just sunned myself and read books. Getting in the water was rare and usually just long enough to cool off. I kind of forgot that my hair would turn green. That is, until my friend bought a house with a pool... and we live in Los Angeles where almost every day is a pool day and since my friend lives 3 minutes away from me now, well I've been spending a lot of time in her pool. And since it is a private pool we have all kind of turned into little kids again. Swimming, splashing, jumping. It's fun. But lo and behold, my hair started turning green again. And now I dye it red so with the greenish tint on parts of my hair I was starting to look like an ugly Christmas decoration. So I desperately searched for a non-damaging shampoo/conditioner combo that would bring my hair back to it's soft, silky blonde color (so I could then dye it red again without making things worse). I found this combo and ordered immediately.I used the shampoo as soon as it arrived and then read the conditioner bottle while I let the shampoo sit on my head for a second to really destroy the green. The conditioner is NOT special conditioner. It is just conditioner. It isn't even good conditioner. My VO5 stuff is better than this conditioner. I tried it the first time and after rinsing my hair felt stickier than before conditioning. That damaged hair stickiness. Not product buildup stickiness. Sooo in the trash the conditioner went.I still use the shampoo every couple days and use my regular conditioner and my hair is as good as new. Thankfully buying JUST the shampoo is an option and I will do that next time.3A bit harsh for people with sensitive skinUltraSwim is the most common brand for swimming shampoo and conditioner that you typically find in stores. I also researched different review sites for best swimming shampoos, and UltraSwim is always listed in the top recommended list. So I bought it.The shampoo seems to work for taking chlorine out of my daughter s hair. But after awhile, she complained about an itchy scalp. I guess it doesn t work too well for my daughter. I will try some other product next time.3Gets rid of chlorine and chlorine smellI can no longer find this shampoo locally so I was happy to find it on Amazon. I swim almost every day, and my hair gets really dry and brittle even though I wear a cap (there is not a cap made that will keep your hair 100% dry). This is especially true in the summer because sometimes it is just too hot to wear anything but a lycra cap, so my hair gets soaked in chlorine for about an hour. It really helps, and it also gets rid of the chlorine smell. I use it for body wash sometimes too. Unscented which is perfect for me.5Great for fine hair!Great for my fairly short and fine hair, and it removes the chlorine smell. I use the shampoo and conditioner 3-4 times per week after swimming in a highly chlorinated pool. The shampoo suds up nicely and the conditioner doesn t weigh my hair down. Both products are thin liquids, people with real thick or curly hair may want a product that is more dense.5Not my favoriteSo I found this to sorta work on my hair. If Ibleft the shampoo on for a few minutes before rinsing it, I got better results. If I rinsed it off too soon, it left my hair oily. The conditioner is very thin, and my hair just soaked it up. I found that the best way to get it even was to brush it in while in the shower, then wait a few more minutes before rinsing.Over all, there are other detoxifying shampoos that are less expensive, and you need less products to get the better results.2WOW!!! WoW! Just Wow! I bought it for my daughter because she started using pool twice a week and noticed that her hair started to tangle a lot and are dry. At first I did not realize why this was happening and then read all about pools and dry hair. Decided to get this set. Again, WOW! Works great. Her hair is smooth, soft, and tangle free. And on top of it it smells AWESOME! I can smell it days after she used it. Highly recommended. 5A must for anyone who spends time in the pool!My children are growing up swimming in chorine pools, but for a time I was tempted to have them stop swimming for awhile because of the damage it was doing to their hair. After spending several days swimming, my children's hair was stringy, dingy, smelled of chorine, and I couldn't get through it no matter how much conditioner I used. I have tried several "natural" brands of chlorine removing shampoo, with only a moderate change.I can't recommend UltraSwim enough; when my children use it after coming out of the pool, not only does it remove the smell, but their hair actually looks healthier. They've even commented on how soft and shiny their hair feels after using it. So not only is it functional for removing chlorine, but it has a positive overall effect on the look and health of their hair. I will continue to use this anytime my children spend time in the pool.I did not receive this item for a discount, I'm just absolutely thrilled with the product!5Bottles are bot sealed.It smells great and hopefully it will work great. But i m giving only 2 stars, because the prime item took 1 week to receive and it came opened. I don t know if it was used by anyone, both bottles were not sealed at all and the conditioner spilled by a quarter. Very disappointing2I LOVE UltraSwim!!!I LOVE this product! My daughter's hair has been smelling like a public pool for the last week and it's been driving me insane. It was so hard to comb too. She even got a hair cut because I thought it would help. It didn't. I go through this every summer. This year I decided to give UltraSwim a go. The shampoo & conditioner was delivered today and we used it right away. I had doubts but as soon as we rinsed the conditioner out of her hair it was so soft and when we dried her hair it was easy to comb through and it smelled good. Public pool hair be gone!!! I've tried other more expensive brands and they don't work like UltraSwim. They have just gained a faithful customer. Thank you so much!5Amazinggggg!!! I love this stuff! My mother started using a new chemical in her pool this summer and I could NOT get the horrible smell and sticky texture out of my 6 yo daughters hair for the life of me! This stuff not only makes her hair silky smooth, it also smells so good! It's really runny compared to a lot of thicker shampoo and conditioner sets, so be careful when turning over to put on the hair! 5I would recommend either buying a different shampoo/conditioner duo or just buying ...I bought this set because fall swim season started for my collegiate swim club and I wanted something to get the chlorine out of my light colored hair. I rated this three stars because the shampoo works with getting the chlorine smell out, but both the shampoo and conditioner are VERY liquidy. I can handle it in the shampoo, but the conditioner is almost impossible to apply because it keeps falling through my fingers before I can actually coat my hair. I thought that maybe it was because it is the summer and it got too hot during shipment, but even after being refrigerated overnight, it was still too liquid to use. I would recommend either buying a different shampoo/conditioner duo or just buying the shampoo.3Ultra SwimThe product was reformulated some years ago, and in my opinion, it's not as good as the original. (Or, maybe pools are simply chlorinated more heavily these days ... who knows?) You need to use a LOT of the product, especially the conditioner, and then rinse thoroughly, in order for it to be effective. There are other products available at styling salons that strip heavy contaminants, but they tend to be quite expensive - anywhere from $10 to $20 for one 8 to 12 ounce bottle. Best advice: wear a swim cap! (If you want really soft hair after a swim workout, wet your hair and put conditioner in before you get into the pool, leave it in, and wear a swim cap over that)3Unscented version neededUnscented version needed, the "scent" smells worse than the chlorine would. I actually had to stop using it because I smelled worse than I would have if I had just smelled like chlorine. Please make an option to buy an unscented version.1
